This 1-1½ hour workshop focuses on ways to enhance academic vocabulary within the Standards Plus lessons using the Plan-Teach-Assess-Reteach improvement cycle. All strategies are transferrable to core instruction. This instruction benefits all students, but it is especially powerful for English Learners. Participants will receive a list of grade level academic vocabulary presented in the Standards Plus and the California State Standards.

This 1-1½ hour workshop focuses on strategies that teachers use to engage students in the learning and check for understanding throughout the Standards Plus lessons using the Plan-Teach-Assess-Reteach improvement cycle.
