Our ready-to-teach Language Arts materials include step-by-step lesson plans, content at every DOK level, rubrics, answer keys, and high-level academic vocabulary embedded in every lesson.
The lessons are short, yet direct and to the point. For example, the writing section teaches the students informative/explanatory, opinion, and narrative writing. It starts by teaching them how to write a paragraph. Then it shows them how to expand their writing into five paragraphs with organization and structure along with linking words and phrases. This helped many of my students during the SBAC test because they were able to internalize an outline that organized their thoughts.

The lessons are based upon the research of Effective Schools Correlates, Edward Deming’s Total Quality Management (TQM), and models of effective instruction. A team of content and grade level experts wrote the Common Core Standards Plus lessons to meet the skills, concepts, depth, and rigor of the Common Core Standards.
